As many of you already know, Zarla was designed for small business in mind. A large number of our customers are running cleaning businesses and use Zarla to create their website in a few simple steps.
Step 1. Provide a business name on Zarla.com. If you don't have one, go to Namesnack.com and search for an available name and domain name.
Step 2. Choose “Cleaning” from the industry drop down on step 2 of the Zarla website builder. This makes sure Zarla knows exactly what industry you're in so it can optimise the website with the right layout, images, content and brand. All of which you can change later on.
Step 3. Type in a brief description of your business. If you have some experience, type that in. If you have any special skills, also include that. An example would be:
“We are a residential cleaning service that prides ourselves on immaculate work, and showing up on time. Our team has 5 years experience working in houses of all sizes in the Austin Texas metropolitan area.”
Step 4. Zarla will take this information and then generate your website. If you don't like the overall look and feel, simply hit “Regenerate” and it'll design a new one for you. Keep doing that until you have a version that you like. Remember, you can edit and change things later on. You'll notice that Zarla created your logo, brand, and entire website. You'll also notice the site loads super fast which we’ll talk about why that's so important a bit later.
Step 5. Now hit edit, and if there's anything you'd like to change or update go ahead. If you have images of your prior work that you've done, or photos of your team, vans, equipment etc, go ahead and upload them to your image gallery. This helps your visitors see your work and will be more likely to contact you. Also remember to update your address and phone number from the “Contact” section. If you don't have a physical address for your business, just enter in the city that you service. Ideally however you would have an address as Google likes this and will boost your ranking in that area.
Sometimes you can also share an office with a friend or colleague.
Step 6. Now it's time to launch your website. Hit the Publish button and follow the steps. You can use a domain name you've already purchased, you can use a sub domain such as “my cleaningservice.zarlasites.com” or we can set you up with a free domain name (comes free with any plan you purchase).
Step 7. We highly encourage you to then setup a Google Business Listing which is free and connect your new website to it. Once you've done that, send any existing customers a request to review your business. If you don't have any existing customers, try to provide a discount to friends and family for your services, and once complete ask them to review you. With a few 5 star reviews, you'll start appearing in Google's search results and you'll start to get leads without any paid ads. As you provide your services, request happy customers to review you and make sure you take before and after photos of your work (with permission from your client ofcourse). Continue to upload these photos to your website and Google business listing and continue to add reviews to both your website and Google business listing. This will be a great signal for Google, builts trust with your visitors and will drive leads on autopilot.
And that's it! That's how you build a cleaning website that not only looks great, loads fast and is easy to update but also brings in leads and phone calls day in and day out.
